(06/08/2001 – Peabody, Mass.) World’s Biggest Dog. Hercules, a 3-year-old English Mastiff weighing in at 282 pounds, is seen with his 270 pound owner John Flynn in their Peabody back yard. Hercules was recently (2001) awarded the honorable distinction of Worlds Biggest Dog by Guinness World Records. Hercules has a 38 inch neck. Assigned by the Boston Herald.
(06/04/10-Boston,Mass) The USS Constitution is seen yesterday morning as it performs it’s semi-annual turnaround in Boston Harbor as part of a Battle of Midway commemoration. Old Ironsides crew hosted approximately 125 members from the Wounded Warrior Project. They culminated the event by laying a wreath in the ocean. Vivid lightning struck the Boston area yet again last evening. I headed to Revere Beach, as I did a few days ago, due to the strong storms that were headed toward Swampscott and Lynn etc. I snapped these people checking out the show. EDITORS NOTE: Lightning is the second leading killer in the “hazardous weather killing” category so…don’t try this at home! I happened upon this scene seconds after the police scanner crackled about a car crash at the intersection of Clarendon and Commonwealth Ave. A Fisher College cop who had just ended his overnight shift assisted one of the victims by jumping into her flipped car and holding her hand. (06/01/10-Revere,Mass.) A young man tries to keep dry under the shelter of a Revere Beach gazebo as lightning strikes offshore at approximately 3:30 pm yesterday afternoon. Then the heavy rain can be seen just offshore in bottom photo..
(June 1, 2007-Boston,Mass.) The Fenway Faithful playfully tease Alex Rodriguez by wearing masks of a blonde woman one day after A-Rod allegedly cheated on his wife with a blond exotic dancer/model. And, at bottom, also at the game, Christie Brinkley, former 1980’s heartthrob, can be seen doing “the wave” next to the Red Sox dugout. Both snapped for the Herald.
